Artificial Intelligence is fundamentally transforming software testing - but not in the way many expect. While AI promises significant efficiency gains, it simultaneously introduces new quality risks: more code, higher speed, but also more defects, uncertainty, and a growing need for validation. This talk explores why testing becomes the central quality authority in the age of AI and why the human role remains indispensable.
Using current examples, the talk demonstrates where AI delivers real value in the testing process, where its limitations lie, and why concepts such as human-in-the-loop and collaborative intelligence are essential for sustainable software quality. A key focus is the evolving role of testers: moving away from purely tactical execution toward strategic responsibility, risk analysis, and critical evaluation of AI-generated results.

AI Agenti v automatizacích: Jak se vypořádat s leností a halucinacemi? (CZ)

Generování testů pomocí AI agentů vypadá na první pohled jako splněný sen, ale v praxi často narážíme na tvrdou realitu: agenti jsou líní, generují neúplný, neudržitelný kód nebo přímo halucinují neexistující lokátory a testy. Jak z nich udělat spolehlivý nástroj pro dlouhodobě udržitelnou automatizaci a ne jen generátor technického dluhu?
V této přednášce se podíváme pod kapotu efektivního využívání GitHub Copilota a Playwrightu. Ukážeme si, že klíčem k úspěchu není jen lepší prompt, ale především:

• Strukturované instrukce: Jak pomocí dokumentace a instrukcí nastavit mantinely, které AI nepustí k halucinacím a zjednodušování.
• Kontext je král: Jaký obsah a nástroje dát agentovi, aby si mohl vyzkoušet živou aplikaci a pochopit její strukturu dřív, než napíše test.
• Udržitelný repozitář: Jak organizovat zdrojové kódy a instrukce, aby agenti rozuměli vašim procesům i po měsících vývoje.

Žádné sci-fi, jen reálné příklady a postupy, jak přistupovat k AI nástrojům tak, aby nám byly schopny dlouhodobě dodávat kvalitní výsledky.

The content is structured around real-world problems and demonstrates how these problems can be effectively solved using appropriate design patterns. Testing the Simulation of the Whole Planet (EN)

Testing a graphics engine that renders a 1:1 scale Earth is a unique challenge. Testing a surface area of 510 million square kilometers is simply impossible. We cannot realistically check every possible cloud configuration across all times of day and seasons, factoring in 50 distinct atmospheric parameters. There is a limitless amount of things to check, which makes traditional manual or even automated testing near impossible. There are thousands of features we support and endless amounts of combinations. With the number of new features added every week you have a system that quickly becomes very hard to maintain. I’ll show you how we try to do this and share some of the struggles.

• As LLMs become ubiquitous in our IDEs, the era of "vibe coding" has sparked a provocative question: Has AI rendered the traditional test pyramid—obsolete?
  In this talk, we go beyond the hype to explore how the role of testing is fundamentally shifting. I will argue that while AI can generate code and scripts at lightning speed, there are some skills still missing. We will dive into the core purposes of testing — from verifying business intent to serving as living documentation — and discuss how the "design pressure" of test-first approach remains our defense against AI-generated technical debt. I will show how LLMs can be helpful for writing automated tests and show, for which core purposes we still need a human brain. The test pyramid will surely change, but the activity of verifying the software will stay with us for some time.
